Job Description
Purpose of the Role: Controlling and receipt of all inbound stock and inventory management.
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
Key Performance Areas:
- Goods receipting and issuing of parts to internal and external customers
- Process all goods receipt transactions with perfection and keep an accurate record of all inbound discrepancies in relation to delivery notes, invoices, packing lists.
- Filing of all picking slips, delivery notes, proof of deliveries. Ensure deliveries where damages are noted was endorsed.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained according to audit requirements.
- Ensure relevant internal SLA’s are adhered to with regards to airfreight and sea freight shipments.
- Booking of daily shipment with couriers.
- Assist customers when collecting parts.
- Coordinate and ensure 100% compliance on all stock transfer orders and back orders.
- Maintain parts integrity by ensuring adherence to all inbound and outbound activities.
- Maintain an optimal inventory accuracy
- Maintain a solid claims process and follow up on all outstanding claims.
- Participate in all stock count activities (weekly stock counts and annual wall to wall)
- Ensure accurate records in SAP for bin transfers and current bin locations.
- Capacity planning on high volume good receipting.
- Operation of forklift and offloading of stock from supplier vehicles.
- Assist with all return shipment consolidation.
- Maintain a high administration accuracy pertaining to filing, stock control, goods receipt, bin movements to ensure compliance based on the Handling group internal audit requirements.
- Ensure optimal picking turnaround times.
- Ensure daily reports are sent to line manger.
- Assist with picking when required
- Assist with the collection counter when required
- Issue service consumables and make stock adjustments for service consumables.
- Process all service parts returns in SAP same day as returned. File paperwork and ensure that parts returned are in sellable condition and up to standard.
- Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
- Will be required to work overtime during high activity periods
- Adherence to any reasonable instruction
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain and Business Management.
Competencies:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work accurately, diligently and under pressure
- Computer skills (Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Intermediate Excel skill and advantage
- Effective time management and must be able to work after hours when required
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Energetic, positive, self-motivated and a team player
- Forklift (5ton and Man up) license essential
- Drivers license required (Code B or EB)
- SAP experience (Materials management advantageous)
- Excellent House keeping abilities to ensure warehouse is always tidy and well organized.
