Internships Description

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) invites applications from suitably qualified and unemployed graduates to apply for the 2022 Internship Programme. This is an exciting opportunity for graduates from accredited and recognised tertiary/Higher Institutions of Learning in the fields of study mentioned below.

Internships at SABC aim to provide graduates with an opportunity to work with our internal clients and teams to address key business problems and identify areas of growth for the company.

Minimum Requirements:

• Successfully completed a 3-to-4-year diploma/degree
• Be a South African citizen
• Must be under the age of 35
• Have no previous internship experience
• Be prepared to enter into a learning agreement for 12 months commencing on 1st April 2022

Supply Chain Management Intern

National Diploma or Degree in:

• or relevant tertiary qualification

National Diploma or Degree in:

• Marketing

Mechanical Fitter  Apprenticeship​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Intern

Minimum of NTC3 or N3 in Mechanical/Fitting Engineering with:

• minimum of 50% for Mathematics,
• minimum of 50% for Physical Science
• minimum of 40% for English

Electrical​​​​​​​  Apprenticeship Intern

Minimum of NTC3 or N3 in Electrical Engineering with:

• minimum of 50% for Mathematics,
• minimum of 50% for Physical Science
• minimum of 40% for English

Organisational Development Intern

Honours Degree (NQF8) in:

• Industrial Psychology
• Human Resource Management 
• or equivalent.

Media Server (EVS) Operations​​​​​​​ Intern

Relevant degree/diploma/Certificate in:

• Film and Television Production/Video Technology/ IT Diploma 
• or Minimum 1 year Qualification in Media Server/Studio production.

Master Controller​​​​​​​ Intern

•  National Diploma Electrical Engineering S4/T3, (Light current)
• Diploma in Sound Engineering/ Film and Television
• Physical attributes: Excellent hearing and eyesight (no color blindness)

 IT Audit​​​​​​​ Intern

Degree / Diploma (NQF7) in

• BCOM,
• Auditing,
• Computer Science
• Information Systems/Informatics

Internal Control Intern

National Diploma or Degree in:

• Auditing
• Risk Management
• Business Management
• Accounting

Internal Audit ​​​​​​​Intern

• BCOM / Auditing  with Auditing III or equivalent qualification (NQF7)

Human Resources​​​​​​​ Intern

Diploma/Degree in:

• Human Resources Management
• or related discipline

Final Controller Intern

• Diploma in Sound Engineering/ Film and Television

Digital Assistant Intern

• Diploma in Digital Marketing, Media studies or relevant discipline (NQF 6)
• Certificate or Diploma in Digital Marketing and/or Graphic Design would be an advantage.

Corporate Affairs and Marketing Intern

• National Diploma in Administration or Equivalent in Administration disciplines (NQF 6)
• A Project Management Certification will be an added advantage (PRINCE / PMBOK)

• Film and Television Production/Video Technology
• or Minimum 1 year Qualification in Camera Ops/Studio production.

Archivist GP​​​​​​​ Intern

• A certificate/diploma in Sound Engineering or Experience in Sound Production

• or related qualification

Records Management Intern

Diploma in:

• Information Management

Technician Intern

BTech for the Electrical Engineering for the above formal qualification an advantage

Advantage: Sound Engineering Diploma (3 years) (NQF Level 6).
A driver’s license will be advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

• Physically able.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and lead the team if required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently and/ or in a Team on Projects
• Well-organized with a customer-oriented and Team work approach
