Internship Description

Surface Brilliance is looking for an intern to join our marketing/advertising team. A small company based in Richmond, Johannesburg, we are seeking an individual fresh out of university/college with a Marketing degree.

This individual will be responsible for gearing and heading a brand that we have established, ensuring that the products that fall under this brand reach the targeted consumer.

This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of social media content, email campaigns, online promotion, website for the brand, etc.
• Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
• Assist with the fulfilment of marketing offers
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of products to various stakeholders
• Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
• Seek and analyse competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
• Prepare presentations
• Open and sort mail
• Provide support to social media efforts
• Monitor social media for trending topics to utilize on social media channels
• Maintain tracking report of public relations activity

Requirements

• Graduate in: Sales, Marketing, or Advertising
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of social media
• Driven and hard-working
• Ability to take direction and multi-task
• PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience a plus
