Internship Description

The primary purpose of the Fund Accountant – LISP role is to maintain a portfolio of funds by completing the daily/monthly/quarterly tasks to produce annual financial statements of the highest quality for clients; and coordinate and facilitate submission of financial statements to the FSCA through providing ongoing excellent service.

Responsibilities:

The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved:

• Accountable for maintaining daily, monthly, and quarterly processes and procedures and or client-specific requirements on portfolio of funds.
•  Accountable for producing quality annual financial statements within the required time frame per client SLA.
• Ensure adherence to the internal review process prior to the start of the audit.
• Comply with procedures, processes, and policies to eliminate possible risk exposure to the funds under administration.
• Accountable for maintaining a portfolio of funds as per company processes and procedures.
• Establish strong, trust-based relationships with internal clients, external clients and other teams within the Administration Services.
• Effective communication with all relevant parties to achieve the goals and targets.
• Working collaboratively with other departments to coordinate client interactions and provide solutions to their needs.
• Ensuring that effective communication to clients is conducted timeously.

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant Accounting Degree/Diploma
