Internship Description
The controller is responsible for the Safe and efficient movement of Petroleum products through the Pipeline network by operating highly specialised equipment in accordance with a scheduled programme/instructions with due cognisance to the volume/quality of product, the safety of personnel, company assets and satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Risk/pollution control
- Handle Transmixtures/intermixtures
- Perform minor maintenance
- Launch and receive Pigs and Spheres
- Perform product metering
- Perform shutdowns of product movement
- Perform product quality tests
- Determine volume
- Perform product movement start-up procedure
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical science.
- Passed a competency assessment for Technical ability, numeric, verbal-, and abstract- reasoning.
- Good command of the English language
