Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) in partnership with The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is pleased to announce a call for applications for incubation in the below-mentioned fields of study.

Internship monthly stipend values (no other benefits apply as these are internship positions)

Geographical Information Systems/Science Intern

Location: Lydenburgm (Biodiversity Planner)

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in GIS
  • Postgraduate Diploma in GIS

Environmental Science Intern

Location: Lydenburg (EIA)

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Environmental Science
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental & Resources Studies

Aquatic Intern

Location: Lydenburg

  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Environmental & Water Science

Zoology Intern

Location: Head Office

  • Qualifications: BSc in Zoology or Wildlife

Veterinary Science Intern

Location: Head Office (Wildlife Management)

  • Qualifications: BSc in Zoology or Wildlife

Botany Intern

Location: Head Office (Wildlife Management)

Qualifications: BSc in:

  • Biological Sciences
  • Botany
  • Plant Science
  • Plant Ecology
  • or Conservation Biology

Ornithology Intern

Location: Lydenburg

  • Qualifications: National Diploma in Ornithology

Wildlife Management Intern

Location: Head Office (Wildlife Management) 

Qualifications: 

  • Diploma in Wildlife Management
  • Advanced Diploma in Wildlife Management

Applicant Requirements

  • Must be a SA citizen.
  • Young unemployed and underemployed professionals between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Innovative, dynamic and creative
  • A commitment to career development in the environmental/biodiversity sector.
  • Must hold the qualifications mentioned in the table above
