Job Description

Sappi Southern Africa requires Interns. The interns will have the opportunity to grow and obtain the necessary skill, competencies, and experience within the related field and will be required to support the business with different tasks and responsibilities during their contract period.

The following internships are open for applications:

Finance Intern

Degree / Diploma in:

• Finance
• Accounting
• Business Management

Forests HR / OHP

Qualification in:

• Human Resource
• Nursing Assistant
• Paramedic
• Basic Ambulance Assistant.

Forests Research Intern

Degree/Diploma in:

• Tree Breeding,
• Genetics,
• Entomology,
• Pathology,
• Botany
• Horticulture
• or related qualification

Environmental Intern

• BSc (specialist Environmental Science or Ecology)

Forests Nurseries Intern

Diploma / Degree in:

• Horticulture
• Agriculture
• Forestry
• or related qualification

Analytical Chemistry Intern

• Completed all theoretical modules in Analytical Chemistry and only needs P1 and P2 to graduate.

SHEQ Intern

• Relevant Degree in Environmental Management 
• or Environmental Science Degree 
• or BTech Environmental Sciences.

Logistics Interns

• Bachelor degree in Logistics

Sales and Marketing Interns

• Bachelor of Commerce in Sales & Marketing or equivalent degree

Mechanical Engineering​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Intern​​​​​​​s

• Must be a Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program (at least two years of coursework complete as of May 2021).

Competencies:

• Sound planning and organizing skills, written and verbal communication.
• Good people skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to act independently.
• Computer literate – MS Office
