Job Description

The Discovery Internships Programme was launched in 2006 and we have successfully developed and changed the lives of over 500 graduates, with an average permanent placement of 71% post an internship.

You will be awarded an opportunity to join the smartest team in the industry and be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment after your 12 months with Discovery.

Additional Requirements:

  • No previous internship and or graduate programme in any industry or government institution
  • No work experience (Essential)
  • Between the ages of 18 – 30 (Essential)
  • You must be a South African Citizen by Birth

The following Internships are open for applications:

HR Administrator Intern

  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
  • Relevant analytics qualification
  • Diploma in HR or relevant HR courses (Advantageous)

Telephony Administrator​​​​​​​ Intern

  • Matric
  • 3 year degree/diploma in Telecommunications or IT,
  • Certification in at least one of the following (A+, CCNA, Avaya, CUCM, Skype For Business, SBCs, NICE), will be advantageous.

System Analyst​​​​​​​ Intern

  • Grade 12 is essential.
  • B.Sc (Informatics or Mathematics)

Scrum Master​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Intern

  • Grade 12 is essential.
  • Business / IT Diploma

IT Service Desk Agent​​​​​​​ Intern

  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
  • Diploma in Information Technology: Networking (Completed within the last 12 months)

Insurance Agent Operations Intern

  • Matric – Essential
  • Diploma/Degree in Administrator or related tertiary qualification

Data Analyst​​​​​​​ Intern

  • Tertiary qualification.
  • Stats / Math’s / Computer Science an advantage.
  • BSC Computer Science / IT- Degree – advantageous.

Data Analyst​​​​​​​ Intern

  • Tertiary qualification.
  • Stats / Math’s / Computer Science an advantage.
  • BSC Computer Science / IT- Degree – advantageous.

Data Analyst HR Intern

  • Matric
  • Relevant analytics qualification
  • Diploma in HR or relevant Hr courses (Advantageous) 

Legal Advisor​​​​​​​ Intern

  • LLB / B.Degree in Law
  • Experience in Drafting & vetting of contracts and related documentation for insurance products
  • Proficient on MS Office. Computer literacy essential specifically Microsoft Word & PowerPoint and Excel
