The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:

  1. Human Resources (HR) Intern

We are looking for an HR Intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department’s daily activities

Tasks and Responsibilities Include:

  • Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  • Gather payroll data
  • Screen resumes and application forms
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates
  • Post, update and remove job ads from Bamboo
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed
  • Address employee queries about benefits
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating our HR policies and procedures
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Good understanding of full-cycle recruiting
  • Provide administrative and HR support

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good computer skills especially in MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Word
  • High level of integrity and ability to work as part of a professional team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle the challenging workload
  • Cross-cultural experience, understanding, and sensitivity;
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Human Resources
  • Industrial Psychology

2. Digital Communications Intern

The Digital Communications Intern will provide administrative, writing, editing, graphic design, reporting, and research support to the Communications team of MSF South Africa.

Tasks and Responsibilities Include:

Website

  • Update content on the MSF Southern Africa website: msforg.za
  • Edit identified articles by ensuring that they are correctly tagged and quality images are used.
  • Optimizing content on the website for improved user experience
  • Ensure relevant content is hyperlinked in order to improve Google search ranking and SEO        
  • Ensure the layout is consistent for all articles.

Social Media

  • Work with the Social Media Officer to help build and manage MSF South Africa’s online communities.
  • Monitor and respond to social media trends observed in a proactive fashion.
  • Measure and report social media activities.

Qualification Required:

  1. Communications,
  2. Marketing,
  3. Public Relations,
  4. or similar field.
